resources for educators from the
Plymouth state university SSE program

Plymouth State University is the leader in Social Studies Teacher Education in New Hampshire. Plymouth State is the only university that boasts an integrated program where education courses are taught by experienced and certified social studies professors across all four years-- modeling the strategies and merging them with core disciplines. Plymouth State also hosts the National History Day Program for New Hampshire. Plymouth State faculty and students, alongside stakeholders across the state developed a framework which new teachers from our program are using. The new framework is designed to be the NH Framework for the Social Studies, is aligned with the national C3 Framework, and was developed by amalgamating the vetted and highly successful frameworks from Massachusetts and New York.
