Social Psychology

Social Psychology

COMPELLING QUESTION: Bad apples or bad barrels: how valid is systems theory?
A theory that our behaviors are the result of our “systems” not our own will. Do we have control of our own behavior? When crisis arrives, these people look at the structure of the system, not the individuals.
In this unit students will allow the presentations held in the folder to guide their understanding. Each presentation ends with an activity for a formative assignment. Presentations and activities are in numbered order. Students should do their best and submit the document to the teacher for assessment. Below are supplemental videos that may support the student as they journey through the learning. Videos are in order as they are relevant. Throughout the unit, students will build to responding to the compelling question above. The C3 inquiry is below.

Outside of class, students will read the textbook chapter on Social Psychology and Chapter 7 from
The Brain that Changes Itself by Norman Doidge.
