Please use MLA formatting.
Cite in-text any and all sources you use. Any sentence that references information from a source must be followed by a citation (unless the entire paragraph is from one source, in which case you would cite at the end of the paragraph).
What is an in-text citation? It is a notation of where the information came from used with MLA style citation. It should look like this... (Author's Last Name page #). Note that the period ending the sentence comes after the parentheses.
Here is an example from a paper on Susan B. Anthony (a women's rights activist).
Anthony's quaker heritage had a profound impact on her perception of her role in society. In the 1800s when it was socially unacceptable for women to speak in public, Quakers allowed female ministers, called “High Seat Sisters" (Carolo). Anthony’s aunt was a minister, which could have influenced her comfort with public speaking (Sherr xix). Anthony constantly pointed out that at the Quaker Meeting House, “men and women were treated as equals" (Anthony). One researcher believed that the female ministers used their religious role to challenge male hierarchy in the social sphere, an assertion supported by evidence that many early leaders of the feminist movement were Quakers (Plant 296).
What is a footnote? It's those little numbers you sometimes see in text. It is used in Chicago Style citation. In Word and Google Docs, go to "Insert" and select "Footnote" to add the footnote. Then use the Chicago style abbreviated citation for footnotes.
What if I know something from because of my notes from class? How do I cite that? In this case, you would cite your teacher.

State, Town. Date.
How do I cite a document from one of the activities in class? The easiest way to do this is Google a distinct line from the document like "Four score and seven years ago" and see if you can find the document yourself. Then you cite it.
