Rosa Parks(left) Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was an African-American civil rights activist. She is best known for refusing to move to the back of the bus for a white person, sparking the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
George Wallace(left) George Corley Wallace Jr. was governor of Alabama, elected in 1962. He is known for his attempt to halt desegregation at the University of Alabama. He stood in front of the door to the university auditorium, blocking the path for two black students: Vivian Malone and James Hood. This became known as the "Stand in the Schoolhouse Door."
