The "starving Time" in Jamestown
In this inquiry students will be investigating what happened at Jamestown using primary sources. In this website it is formed in a way that it seems like the students are investigating a crime scene to encourage student engagement with the material. The question that they will be seeking to answer is What Caused the Failure of the Jamestown Colony in 1610?

Injustice Roots from Colonial America
This inquiry focuses on the myriad of injustices inflicted upon people of color during the colonial period, and how these early interactions and acts of oppression provided a foundation for the racial injustices still experienced in America today. From Europeans’ first contact with American Indians, to the subjugation of African slaves, a hierarchy based on race was imposed on all who lived in the New World. Students will be looking at primary sources and writing conclusions about them.

Salem Witch Trials Lesson PlanIn this inquiry students will be looking at primary sources, a map, and data around the time of the Salem Witch Trials. The students will be comparing and contrasting the documents, then they will make a conclusion on what caused them to occur.

King Philip's War
In this inquiry, the teacher will give a PowerPoint lecture, then the students will engage in primary sources with guiding questions. After each document the students will have to answer the questions and have to write a hypothesis about why the war started.

Were the Puritans selfish or selfless?
In this inquiry students will be looking at two famous writings: City upon a Hill and The Divine Right to Occupy the Land. After looking at these documents students will answer guiding questions then draw a conclusion if the Puritans were selfless or selfish.
